I've been thinking...

Having one's own new website can be a bit of a challenge. It takes time to work out how it goes together and what to share etc. My main aim is to always showcase JESUS, through the songs/words/music that I post. Hopefully I will continue to do just that. The music genres that I tend to go for are - Country, Gospel Choirs, and Celtic. There's something about these genres that stir my soul.

Well, I've put a new Page up, where my latest song will feature. Saves one needing to go through all of my music posts, to find if there is anything new to listen to.

I'm finding such joy in sharing these songs, and even in writing new lyrics. Sometimes what I put together doesn't 'sit right' with me, recognizing when the Holy Spirit is giving me a check in my spirit about a certain song. It's a learning journey for sure. Just the other day I posted a song, after struggling for hours to get it together. It wasn't working yet I posted it anyway. Well, after sleeping on it I deleted it and immediately felt relieved! The words weren't anything bad or such, but it just didn't jell. Whew.....

Sometimes I am not sure if these songs are enjoyed by others (?) Not that I'm looking for compliments - I'm not. However, the other day I read a quote that did encourage me:

"THE most solitary Psalm singer is nevertheless part of an immense choir, that enfolds & subsumes all who have ever & will ever, tell & chant them. At any moment of the day there will be some, somewhere, rendering up these everlasting songs of contrition, spiritual poverty & adoration." ('The Abbot's Shoes', 2015, Aotearoa - Author Peter Robertson.)
